I think my favorite part of the trailer was Black Manta saying he was going to “burn Aquaman’s kingdom to the ground”. Burn his undersea kingdom to the ground.

This makes Jason Momoa's Conan the Barbarian movie seem somewhat decent.

I have yet to see a single MCU movie (or tv show) and the only DCEU movie I've seen is Shazam!, based on your Frotcast review. Now I kind of want waste a couple of hours seeing the original Aquaman, since you "...mostly remember a giant octopus who played drums." This review, which did make me laugh out loud, has sated that desire. Great review. Orm!

At this point, both the DCEU and the MCU have very specific audiences. When the MCU was gaining steam all those years ago, they were much more of an all-ages, all genders, all people show. Now, as you point out, you need to do homework before watching one of the shows or movies. Not as much fun. Anyway, long way of saying you're not the intended audience for either. Probably.

Of the sixteen movies in the now-concluded DCEU, I've seen five. The only one I kind of enjoyed was Aquaman, so it's disappointing to hear this one is a mess (which I expected, given that it had a bunch of reshoots and bad test screenings - wasn't Michael Keaton's Batman supposed to be in it at some point?)

I'll miss you, hot men of DC posting thirst traps on Instagram while they get in shape for these terrible movies.
